What is the Family Child Care Quality Improvement Program?
The quality improvement program is a program that is designed just for family child care providers to help improve the quality of your child care program. You will work one on one with a program consultant from Child Care Resource & Referral. It is a total of 40 hours of training including one-on-one consultation, on-site visits, and assignments all designed to help you reach your professional goals.
Who is this program for?
This program is for licensed family child care providers who have the desire to run a high-quality program and want to improve professional skills. It is also a great tool if you are working towards your CDA certification or your NAFCC accreditation.
What does the Program Consultant do?
The program consultant will assist you in setting personal and professional goals for your child care program. We will offer on-site visits, one-on-one consultations, resources, activities, materials, as well as continued encouragement and support to help you meet your goals. The program consultant will interact with both you and the children in your care.
How long does the program last?
The Quality Improvement Program is a 40 hour training program. There will be 25 hours directly with the program consultant and 15 hours devoted to homework, phone calls, or e-mails.
What are the benefits?
Not only will you have accomplished your own personal and professional goals but upon completion of the program you are eligible to receive a T.E.A.M grant, which is approximately $450 dollars worth of materials for your program.
