The Resource Lending Library provides materials designed for child care providers to check out and use in their programs. The cost is only $15 per year! You can apply anytime and start having additional materials available in your program now.

THEME BOXES: A tool to support active, developmentally appropriate learning focused on a specific theme. Each box includes activities, books, games, and curriculum. Boxes for Infant / Toddler and Preschool ages.
LITERACY BAGS: Each bag contains a story and props featuring imagery based on the book that makes story time a hands-on active learning experience.
ALPHABET ALLEY: Each letter of the alphabet is presented as a mini-unit designed to give children practice with letter recognition. In addition, several theme boxes are dedicated to Utah's specific guidelines helping children develop an understanding of language for the purpose of effectively communication through listening, speaking, and writing. We include fundamental language, math, science, social studies, writing, and thinking skills, as well as developmentally appropriate games and activities, books, props, snacks, and other items that relate to literacy.
STORY STRETCHERS: Each story stretcher contains two books and activity ideas to s-t-r-e-t-c-h the theme of the story into other activities areas.
RESOURCES: Subject areas include: Math, Science, Social Studies, Art, Creative Drama, Literacy and Language Arts, Character Education, Nutrition & Cooking, and Physical Education. Also die-cuts availible.
LEARN AT HOME TRAINING PROGRAM:
1 HOUR TRAINING MODULES : These modules are available for check-out and cover the topics that are required yearly by the Office of Child Care Licensing.- LEARN AT HOME TRAINING PACKET: Registration Form (Note: This training packet is available for $20.00. Read the handbook, answer the questions, and if you have at least 8 out of 10 questions right on each topic you are awarded a certificate worth 5 hours of training credit.)
Locations to Serve You
We have two locations for you to use for the Resource Lending Library.
Our main location is in downtown Salt Lake City. You can check out materials. Die Cut, and booklet binding machines are available at no cost. You just need to provide your own materials to bind and paper to die cut. We also laminate for 50¢ per foot. Please call at least 15 minutes before so the laminator can warm up.
We also have a location out in Tooele. Please give Sarah a call to get more information.
