EMFP Respite Care Program

The Air Force EFMP Respite Care Program is a benefit for Air Force families who have children with special needs. Eligible families must be enrolled in the Air Force Exceptional Family Member Program and meet prescribed eligibility criteria. The program allows parents temporary relief to attend appointments or gather some much-needed rest, without having to worry about the well-being of their child. Eligible members receive an authorized allotment of respite care per family per month, at no cost to the families.

For families who are looking to apply, please call Child Care Aware® of America at 1-800-424-2246 extension 317.

Child Care Aware® of America confirms program eligibility and will connect the family with Children’s Service Society of Utah (CSS), who administers the Air Force EFMP Respite Care Program for Hill Air Force Base. Staff members of CSS will work individually with each family to complete the necessary application and assist with connecting the family to a respite care provider that will meet their needs.
